SNOW REMOVAL
: Snow removal companies are contracted to remove snow when it reaches 2” deep or more. If it snows early in the morning, they are not always able to keep up with the snowfall and plowing may be delayed. We appreciate your patience until they get to your parking lot. If you should see the snow removal company on your property and your vehicle is parked by the building, please move it so they can salt or plow the entire lot. Please note that salt will not melt ice when the temperature is too cold. Please remember that the parking lots and stoops may be icy, so use extreme caution at all times.

WIND CHILL (BURR!): If the wind chill factor is expected to drop below zero, please follow these instructions:
1. Turn your kitchen and bathroom cold-water faucets on a slow, steady stream to avoid pipes freezing and bursting.
2. If you happen to notice any of your hot or cold water lines are not working, please call the office IMMEDIATELY! If this is not reported, frozen pipes may burst and cause flooding and damage.
3. Remember that Applegate Property Management is not responsible for any damage to your personal property. Therefore, if you do not have a current renter’s insurance policy, contact an insurance agent to protect you and your family’s personal items. If you don’t have an agent, contact your Property Management Office and they can have someone contact you.

FIRE HAZARDS: Due to safety and fire hazards, NO LIVE Christmas Trees or holiday decorations are permitted – only artificial. Do not display any holiday items or decorations in front of baseboard heaters. We do not wish for anyone’s holiday to be ruined by negligence.

SMOKE DETECTORS: This is a great time to check and replace the batteries in your smoke detectors.
